Poetic Justice

Can you hear my face or see my thoughts

Would you risk it all if that were the cost to be with me

To be with me

The map is tattered and the pages worn

the blood is spattered on the kitchen floor

What does it mean

What could it mean

I can feel your angst the fear metallic in your mouth

It seems every step we take is on the rebound

I know what you say and I know what I see

Why don’t you want to be with me

Be with me
