Some men you just can’t reach. So here I am trying to figure this out. I have fantastical plans for this blog. Hang in there!! Content forthcoming.
Greetings and salutations,
As I develop this site, I hope to provide a safe haven for people to get information about living on the spectrum. When Bret was diagnosed I was overwhelmed. There is so much out there. I will try to make this blog user friendly where you can stop by and share an experience or just for a laugh as I hope to provide some comic relief.
In the beginning there was a boy and the boy had a mom and together they set off on a great adventure. It promised to be a bumpy ride but all the good ones are. An adventure filled with twists and turns, hopes, and dreams and LOVE. Lots of good good love.
Enter stage left….Bret 15 years old and amazing. He loves guitar, reading, writing, and composing. He contemplates his existence and purpose in the universe. He admires the work of Joseph Campbell, Goethe, Nietzsche, Eminem, The Beatles, and Robert Johnson just to name a few. Diagnosed with Aspergers at the age of 7, he faced many trials arising from uneducated teachers all the way down to bullying. We decided to homeschool from the third grade to present.
We are “Unschoolers”. Bret has so many interests that we just take and run with. With the ease of the internet and the world at our fingertips it’s pretty easy to teach. Everything besides math because we all know it pretty much sucks.
The purpose of this blog is for you to get to know us and perhaps through shared experiences and some peace, love, and understanding thrown in we can catch a glimpse of the balance that we all seek. I am technically obtuse so if something is upside down bear with.
